CNN featured an organization of professionals who want people to take time for themselves more often. Jacky agrees! Working overtime so much, bringing work home, thinking about work while at home... This is all stress on your body. Stress has so many harmful effects on us, including increasing our risk of heart disease, strokes, and cancers. Plus, stress causes weight gain! There are probably even more negative effects of stress that we haven't figured out yet. So, while you should find time in your day to be physically active, you should also spend very valuable time relaxing! Read a good book, go for a walk with a loved one, or do whatever it is that you like to do to relax and let your body de-stress.
