Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to have a home gym to train in my home?
No! You can get a full-body, effective, toning, strengthening, or muscle-building workout with a minimum amount
of equipment. Jacky recommends a large Fitness Ball, since they are great for toning or strengthening abs and legs, and then
equipment for upper body workouts, like a resistance band or maybe some free weights. That is all you need! All of this equipment
costs maybe $30-$50 total, and takes up little space. If you train at least 2 to 3 days per week with Jacky, then you actually
wouldn't need it at all--Jacky would bring it with her to your home. If you plan to train less often than 2 to 3 days per week,
Jacky usually would recommend that you do purchase this equipment.
Is there a minimum number of sessions that I need to commit to?
No! While many in-home personal trainers do require new clients to commit to a minimum number of sessions (10 is common), Jacky
does not have this requirement. You can pay as you go, per session. Jacky has trained many people with just a few sessions, occasionally
with only one session, and they acheived results they wanted! If you have the determination and commitment level to exercise
on your own, you might need only one to a few sessions also. However, it is common for people to need additional accountability, and
more regular training is recommended for this personality style.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No! As stated above, you can pay as you go for personal training sessions with Jacky. Other trainers might require you to sign a
contract, where you are required to pay for a time slot (so you even have to pay when you go out of town to hold your spot!). Jacky
always tries to hold clients' times if they are regular clients, and does not charge for this when clients are out of town. The only
requests Jacky makes as far as commitment goes is to please respect her 12-hour cancellation policy (most
trainers enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy). Also, Jacky will want you to commit to trying to have a healthy lifestyle, including eating low-fat foods
most of the time, eating fruits and/or vegetables with every meal, trying to manage your stress, etc. However, you will not sign any contracts!
How much does it cost for a personal trainer to come to my home?
Rates for in-home personal training vary. Some trainers have a flat fee for training, but it is more common to vary rates according
to distance traveled to get to you, and this is Jacky's policy. Regardless of where you live, though, you will probably find that
Jacky's rates are very competitive, maybe even the lowest you will be quoted. Jacky tries to be fair,
honest, and helpful to as many people as possible. So, she keeps her rates reasonable, even though she is one of the most qualified
Personal Trainers in the Phoenix area. In addition, Jacky has many options to try to make in-home training cost effective. For example, group
personal training may be available in your area, so call or e-mail for more information. With this option, you still get personalized
attention, but split the cost of training with others training with you in your home or in theirs. If you have a friend or family
member interested in exercise, you can initiate the group personal training! There are other options available to reduce the rate of
in-home personal training with Jacky, like online training or shorter workout sessions. So, call or e-mail Jacky
today to find out rates for your area!
